Cheap and Easy Home Detox with The Healthy Home Experts Ron & Lisa Beres (RE-RELEASE)

You know what? Making your home less toxic can be quite a puzzle! I never even thought about hidden toxins in my home until I chatted with some guests on my podcast. It got me thinking about where these toxins might be hiding.

To keep things manageable, I decided to tackle it one room at a time. I also didn’t want to toss out stuff I loved and paid good money for, even if they were “just a little toxic.”

And what does “just a little toxic” actually mean? HELP!

That’s why I started looking for a lower-cost way to detox my home.

And that’s how I found Ron and Lisa Beres, the Healthy Home Dream Team.

Lisa’s life turned upside down after she became severely ill from exposure to toxins in a newly remodeled home. On her healing journey, she discovered simple and inexpensive ways to detox your home, office, and probably the most crucial room for women: the bathroom! Did you know that women are exposed to hundreds of toxins (beauty products) before leaving the house in the morning? UGH!

  1. “A 2015 study published in the Journal of Food Processing and Preservation, which found that more cancer-causing heterocyclic aromatic amines (HCA) were created in meat when microwaved than when it was pan-fried, baked, or even barbecued.”

  1. “Using electromagnetic radiation, the microwave causes food and the containers in which the foods are cooked to super-heat,” says Spencer Kroll, MD, PhD, an internal medicine specialist with Kroll Medical Group. “This super-heating can cause breakdown of the chemical components of the containers surrounding your food and these dangerous chemicals can potentially leach into your food.”
Kroll notes that among the most concerning of these chemicals is bisphenol A (BPA), the consumption of which has been linked to a variety of cancers. According to a 2015 review of research published in Medicine (Baltimore), BPA is linked to the development and spread of both breast and prostate cancer cells. 1. “When plastic is heated, toxic chemicals like BPA and phthalates can leach out of the containers or covers, contaminating your food with endocrine disruptors.
In 2008, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel put 10 “microwave safe” containers through a microwave oven and then had them tested in a lab. The containers included plastic types 1, 2, 5, and 7. Bisphenol A, or BPA, was found to be leaching from all of them. The amounts detected were at levels that can cause neurological and developmental damage in laboratory animals.

Frederick vom Saal, a University of Missouri researcher who guided the newspaper’s testing, commented: “There is no such thing as safe microwaveable plastic.”
