Today marks two anniversaries that I hold close to my heart:
- The 1st anniversary of my podcast, “Why Did I Get Cancer?”
- The 2nd anniversary of “getting the call” that I had cancer.
In honor of my journey, I wanted to share in a way I haven’t ever shared before: an episode on my podcast with a guest I never thought I’d have on…
In today’s episode, I am sharing in-depth what I have learned throughout these last two years and my mystery guest? My husband!
What better way to hear about a journey than to listen to my caregiver’s personal experience and viewpoint? Click here to give it a listen!
Last week I shared a “freebie” to my email list giving them a sneak-peek access to the article I had written for Costco. It was supposed to be featured in this month’s Costco Connect; however, when I read it, I couldn’t find it.
After reaching out to get word on when it was going to be released, I found out that it was rescheduled to 2023…
At first, I felt frustration and sadness – I loved the idea of sharing cancer-prevention tips during the month when I celebrate the two milestones.
But then I was reminded of what September these last couple of years has truly taught me: Life is full of the “unexpected” moments, and you can choose to look at it as if it is AGAINST YOU or FOR YOU.
So I am choosing to look at this the latter way. If it hadn’t been for my battle with breast cancer, I wouldn’t be sharing information to which I now feel so connected. It was THAT CALL that led me here to share my mission.
I’m not sure what this will bring me, but I am open to seeing the silver lining and looking on the bright side. I look forward to sharing the full article with you in 2023!
Until then, I hope you enjoy my newest podcast episode. Perhaps it will remind you that your life is like a book, with many more chapters to be written!
Here’s to health, feeling supported, and finding purpose. Chat with you next week!
